In loving memory of Allan Baxter who sadly passed away on 25th December 2020 after losing his fight with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife Jean, children Scott, Nicola and Natalie, stepdaughter Lynn and 8 wonderful grandchildren.
Allan had a real zest for life and was always looking forward to his next holiday. He took great pleasure in spending hours in the kitchen cooking and then giving most of it away to whoever came to visit.
Allan had various jobs throughout his working life and spent the last 10 years working as a concierge (or the previous title of jannie which Allan preferred) at City of Glasgow College which was a perfect job for him as he was always a people person, this job presented it challenges for him but on the whole he was happy there.
He will be sadly missed for various reasons by numerous friends and family and was one of the most kind hearted generous people you could ever meet.

Today marks a year since I last seen you in the funeral home. It’s been so tough, I’ve missed you more than I ever imagined. I just wish you had longer with us, I’m so sad you never got to know little one, but I always speak about you and we look at your photo and shake the snow globe, I’ll always keep your memory alive, I know you made a fantastic granda to the others and I know she would have been no different it just sucks the way life turns out.

Never thought I would be writing this ... first of all we went on our first family holiday we only had Nicola & scott at the time . Porthcawl it was .Allan needed an iron to iron his denims. We never had one . But Allan come up with a bright idea my cousins wife was a little overweight so Allan said I’ll put my denims under the chair and get angie to sit on it . I asked why . I then said they’ll get ironed then . True to his word they were flat once she stood up . There was lots of laughter about this over the year .. you were a good husband a wonderful father to our three children which I will always cherish and once our grandchildren come along you were an amazing granda.. I thank you for out three previous children .. this is not goodbye this is see you at the pearly gates god bless Allan you were one of a kind xxx
