Not how did she die, but how did she live?
Not what did she gain, but what did she give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a woman as a woman, regardless of birth.
Not what was her church, nor what was her creed?
But had she befriended those really in need?
Was she ever ready, with a word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when she passed away?

Rest in peace Hilary you will be missed by all of us.
Love from Dianne, Phil and Heather xx

R.I.P. Hilary. Such a loving friend to my late parents Kathleen and Barry Wood. Sending all our love to John, Carolyn, Tim, and your family. Love from Angela, Jeremy, Chloe, Jed and Megan.

When god saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
He put his arms around you
And whispered come to me

He didnt like what you went through
And he gave you rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best

And when he saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain
He wouldnt wish you back
to suffer that again

Tomorrow your family says goodbye
And as you take your final rest
That garden must be beautiful
For god only takes the best

XXXXX

You were such a special friend, gone, but never forgotten. Goodbye beautiful lady

To all the Jickells family, Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Hilary was a lovely, genuine and kind lady. I so enjoyed meeting her through a Poetry group with Mike. And how talented she was! Her writing was warm, funny and inspirational. We also had a link through Church and, of course, through Alfie and Baxter, 2 of Poppy's litter! It was genuinely a privilege to have known her. I know myself how hard it must be for you all at the moment but I know you will support each other and I will remember you and Hilary in my prayers. God bless, Hilary. I bet you've set up a poetry group up there already! Lots of love to you all, Julie, Joanna and Alfie Rowley xx
