I had the honour of serving with 'Zoonie' in Munster (Sgts Mess) in the 80s. His scouse humour and sheer hard work really shone through. He certainly kept me going on more than one occasion. Superlatives are often over-used in this day and age, but he was a true gent and a real 'mucker'. God Bless.

Liverpool, Mill Hill, Chelsea Munster in Germany we bevied in some strange places Al and even managed to walk tall out of some of them (not the German ones though). we had some great laughs as well like when we hired a 7 1/2 tonne wagon for me to move you out of Chelsea and sang keep on truckin while we chased a ponce in a jag around London for cutting us up (he has probably never driven again). we had some right ding dongs as well like the time we ended up scrapping because you lost the plot when our Ste could blow a bugle and you had lost your puff at about 40 and couldn't do it anymore lol. Good or bad times you were and always will be my big brother and I will always love and miss you.
