To me and my family my Aunty Joan was such an integral part. Aunty Joan was like a second mum to me and always referred to me as her second daughter. I have so many treasured memories of my childhood with her and uncle Keith.
When i had my children she was like a grandma and became known at my girls school as the famous aunty Joan attending to talk of her childhood and war experiences.
Aunty Joan taught me about family and kindness and was always there helping others and showing kindness and compassion to all she met. Her love of the outdoors and animals has spread to us too.
To say she will be missed is an understatement and we are all at a loss without her, but her love of us will help soothe and as a family we treasure her specialness.

Joan was one of the nicest people you could meet. She always had time for everyone and always had a smile on her face. She will be fondly remembered and very much missed. Sue and John x

Lovely memories of seeing Joan out and about in Rolleston. I came to know her through walking my dog early mornings when Joan was out walking Bessie. Such a lovely lady
