In memory of our dear friend PJ who was always happy and smiling, a ray of sunshine even on cloudy days, gone but not forgotten. XX

Today dear friend you will be laid to rest! I will miss you mate, we had so much fun over the 55 years we have been friends. I will share my memories with Louise as and when. I hope you will look down and laugh with us at all the silly things we did together!

I knew Peter briefly from Sondes Place School, and then from our annual "Michael's Mates" sessions. A gentle, thoughtful man - sadly, a second name we will raise a glass to.

Peter, a brother-in-law to us both. We will remember you as a man who knew a little about a lot! You never ceased to surprise us with your knowledge and experiences. There will be an empty place at our table now but not in our hearts and minds.

A friend from Sondes Place School and Young Farmers.
We would also bump into each other regularly at the war memorial on Remembrance Sunday.

RIP Peter.

Peter did not deserve to suffer so much and neither did Louise and his family.

Peter was a such a happy, friendly, thoughtful and caring person. He was my first friend from primary, then secondary school and throughout. Yes, I was a bus spotter too.

Pete is at peace and our lives are richer for having known him. x
