In loving memory of Glynis Christine Helen Kemp who sadly passed away on 24th October 2020.

As many of you know, our big hearted mum was well looked after by the wonderful team in the stroke unit at Maidstone Hospital. During the first lockdown, she would stand on her doorstep every Thursday and clap (and bang saucepans!) to honour the marvellous work of our wonderful NHS. So we think she’d approve of us raising money in her honour, for some additional equipment that will help other stroke victims in the future.

I only just realised my donation didn’t go through in November 🤦🏾‍♀️... in any case, Glynis you were one of the kindest ladies I knew. When I was young I used to walk home from school with Becca and you would welcome me in to your home and feed me. My love of gravy is definitely partly attributed to you. ♥️

I just saw this pop up and realised my donation at the time of the funeral hadn’t gone through. Not to worry. When I was young my mum used to be working and I used to walk to Bec’s house several times a week. Glennis would always feed me and be so lovely to me. I will never ever forget her kindness. An inspirational lady who touched many hearts. ♥️

Darling Ma,

There are so many words I could use to describe you. Bec and I we’re talking the other day and the word ‘kind’ became so apparent to me. Being kind or rather to show kindness encompasses a number of qualities that you’ve shown not only me, my family, but probably everyone that has had the pleasure of knowing you.

You gave me shelter, welcoming me to your home, along the generosity of food and the warmth of your love. Talking to you always made everything okay and there is no doubt you’d always bring humour and joy.

I’ve seen and heard you offer your love, help and support to many around you over the years, taking on more than you need to just to lighten the load for someone else.

A wonderful person, an honour to call you Ma.

Love always,
Cheyenne

Our neighbour for twenty five years. A lovely, kind and thoughtful lady. A tap on the door, flowers in hand from her garden, which she took such pride in. You will be sadly missed. Rest in peace. Love Maxine, Jerry and Wesley. X
