I’ve only known Ian for the last three years at our Friday Badminton group. A lovely, funny man and my nemesis - Being left handed I could rarely return his wicked serves aimed at my backhand and he always had a twinkle in his eyes as he served. Ian, you will be sadly missed

Dear Grandad,
I am only 17 months old, I will not remember what you sounded like but Mummy and Daddy will always show me pictures of us together so I can remember what you looked like, to help us smile when having a sad day and remember the lovely memories we shared.
Thank you for being the best Dad to my Daddy you’ve been a brilliant role model for him.
I have been lucky enough to spend 17 months with you and I hope you will continue to protect and look over me forever.
I hope I make you smile and proud.

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and slowly fade away.
Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.
God saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered ‘come with me’
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
