When ever I think of my Aunty Vera it’s with Great love & affection, because she was like our Family. She was my Mum’s beast friend. Who was like her Sister. She was a Great and Close friend to my Dad also. They laughter all the time. She will be sorely missed, but at the same time Vera has had a very Special place in our Family. Vera was such a good friend and neighbour to our family in Rotherhithe. Always remember our mum, Della, saying every Monday evening, that she was going upstairs to have a chat with Vera. Would not see her again till midnight. Also remember Vera belting out Shirley Bassey songs, she had a good voice. Very fond memories. RIP Vera xx

I didn’t see Vera that often but we always had a laugh and a joke when we met! I also used to pull her leg mercilessly to the point she would say “ your gonna get such a slap” 😂😂. Will miss her singing too... Rest now, 💕💕💕
