In loving memory of Daniel Bryan "Danny" Burke, my dad, who sadly passed away on 17th October 2020 after a brave four year battle with cancer.
Dad was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
After National Service in Hong Kong, he spent most of his working life in the London docks where he met and made lifelong friends.
As well as his family and friends, dad loved a drink, eating out, holidays, music, (regularly singing in pubs and clubs), art and sport, (especially boxing). He also loved a practical joke. Basically he loved life!
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Dan, a good neighbour for 20 years but a great friend for 19 years 364 days, after you and Stella attended a party at ours the day after you moved in. From that day forward we spent many special times together, including some great holidays with a
lot of laughter along the way. From neighbours to friends to a part of our family you will be greatly missed by us all .
With love

Dennis and Marion Riley donated £50 in memory of Daniel

Donated in fond memory of a lovely man who was always pleased to see people and with a great sense of humour. Although the last few years communication has only been by telephone, it was always great to talk to him. He was never down or moaned and he will be sorely missed. With love from Marion and Dennis

My brother and my friend. Such special memories of holidays together and when I was a child when you looked after me. You took me out to lots of different places one of your favourites was the Imperial War Museum. I can remember when you left to do your national service and when you came home no one had told you that we had moved from Lime House to Bermondsey! You were always great company and I will miss you dearly. Goodnight and god bless Dan.

  • And you were his best friend too. The hours the two of you spent chatting, laughing, disagreeing but most of all just being there for each other. He left a big Danny shaped hole in the world.
