Very glad to have known Roy and wish we had got to know him better. Fascinating to hear all the stories about his life, listening to the recording of the service. Our prayers and thoughts are with Geraldine and the other family members.

I wonder how to do justice to a life of service, dedication and love. Just to know that the world was a better place for your compassion, spirit and courage and there is a hole in our lives and we hope that we have the courage to live our lives in the manner you taught us. Be with the angels now, all our love Geraldine, Jamie, Sarah, Daisy and Millie xxx

In memory of my Uncle Roy. He was so generous in adding to my stamp collection from locations all around the world. He also helped to give me my middle name!

A wonderful man; always cheerful and happy.

To have a family is a privilege, to have someone choose your family to be part of is a honour. Our Dad decided he wanted me , Nick and Jamie to be his sons due to our perfect behaviour and good manners- it took some persuasion but we finally convinced him to bring Mum along as well!!! He gave his life to us, he was Mums companion for almost 40 years and through that they loved, laughed and shared lifes journey. We never witnessed a raised voice , an argument or anything other than love.

People some times say to me that im a good dad, Sam (sometimes!!) tells me that im a good husband- i had the very best teacher and role model. The virtues and values I take with me in life and try to teach your grandchildren I learnt from you. The love I have for my small family here in NZ I learnt from you. My patience, understanding and commitment i learnt from you. My loyalty I learnt from you.

For being you and putting up with us we are truly thankful. You are and always will be so loved. I hope we all made you proud because one thing for sure I was so proud to be able to call you my Dad.

Rest now.
