In the 3 short months that I knew Gary I learned that he was an amazing, interesting, gentle and kind person. Everyone loved Gary and time spent with him was filled with laughter and smiles. We will forever reminisce about his witty "Garyisms" about people and his opinions on certain topics. He had the ability to be quite cutting and brutal in his comments but without any malice or harm towards others. He had such passion for music, which he insisted on sharing and made everyday day pass pleasantly. Our lives and our workplace will never be the same, Gary is simply irreplaceable.

Sleep well Gary xxx

For me Gary had the patience of a saint when it came to teaching someone the rules & etiquette of squash, and I should know! Happy memories.

Words cannot express the shock & sadness at his sudden passing.

Sincere condolences to Rebecca, Matthew, Pearl & Nikki - Thinking of you at this time of your loss.

Rest in peace Gary

Gary was a very loving, patient & understanding Father who adored his children Rebecca & Matthew, He was very supportive of them in everything they did and always very proud of their achievements in life .
He was very much looking forward to being a grandfather in February and his sad and sudden passing has robbed him of what I’m sure would have been his greatest role. His loss will leave a big hole, but he will always be in our hearts and his many attributes including his sensitivity, sense of humour and love of life, lives on in Rebecca & Matthew.
Thank you for loving, sharing and caring for our children .Always remembered, rest in peace.
Marie

The happiness Gary brought to mum’s life was something I hadn’t seen in a long time and it was so pleasing to see how each of them were so uplifted by the other when they were together. Gary was taken from us far too early and the future he had with mum was stolen away from them both, but his constant positivity, selflessness and incredible sense of humour means that everyone who knew him will have fond memories remain with them for a long time still. Rest in peace, Gary and we will all miss you very much.

Gary had a way of making you laugh until your cheeks were aching, but never at the expense of anyone else. He was both dry and witty whilst warm and caring, and his kindness shone from his eyes and made you feel like you’d known him for years! I remember actually thinking to myself when I first met him, wow, if I’d had a Dad, I would have loved to have had one like Gary. I’m confused and deeply saddened, but I know that he will continue to guide, protect and watch over those that he loved, from wherever he may be now. Rest in Peace Gary ❤️

The time we spent with Gary was through our brother whose own life was cut tragically short 37 years ago.

Our memories are of Gary at a time when for us, he was 'Wild Man West' (so named by David). Young, carefree, vibrant and with an enormous sense of fun. Whose smile and laughter lit up the room. Always effortlessly and impossibly smart - even when dressing down.

Gary will continue to be thought of often and always with love.

"Change your shirt 'cause tonight we got style!!"

Jo and Karen xx

Devastating news. Gary was part of a really wonderful group of friends whose company we enjoyed for many years when our sons played together at Long Lane football club. A lovely and sincere man...a gentleman with a great sense of humour. A perfect nember of our little company. Jacky and I send our heartfelt condolences to his family from our home in Dubai. Thank you for such wonderful memories!
