Dick.
I’ve known him for ten years. I found him to be a funny clever man and generous man who always had a good story to tell about family life.
I have been amazed by his resilience during the last few years. He has continued to be a caring proud family man and take a keen interest in current affairs. I loved our chats about what was going on in the world. How much he had to say was an indication if how well he was feeling.
I feel really lucky to have met all three of his siblings; Dot and Harry who both live in Australia and Maureen who lives in South Shields. Meeting them helped me to understand their shared love of family and their amazing sense of humour. I was also made aware of how much they all loved their brother.
Liz. Stephen’s partner.

In memory a funny caring and loving man who I loved spending time with. I so enjoyed our chats, particularly when you were talking about your life and our current affairs discussions. An honour to have known you.

My darling brother Richard
We were always close not just as siblings but as friends too.
Even though I moved to Australia I always felt that you were just around the corner.
But now I realise that God needed you to be with Him instead.
I miss you terribly.
If you can,say hi to Eddie and Edward for me and our family please.
I love you my brother and always will.
I know we will meet again but until that time I will continue to love you and miss you.
Your everloving sister
Dot
