In loving memory of Paul Hermon who sadly passed away on 14th August 2020

Phil Evans donated £20 in memory of Paul

Very saddened to hear the shock news about Paul. I used to go walking with him and the gang. He had a great love of the outdoors and was always at the fron of the pack. He also had a great committment to conservation and was extremely knowledgable. We shall miss you Paul. God Bless. Phil

I am very saddened and shocked to hear about Paul. I met him when we were students at Royal Holloway College in the early 1980’s and enjoyed many holidays with him in the 80’s and 90’s and over the years we kept in touch. Paul’s many attributes included a wonderful sense of humour, a deep concern and interest in the environment and a profound knowledge of natural history. I enjoyed Paul immensely and learnt so much from him.

I have only just heard this dreadfully sad news. I have happy memories of growing up with Paul in Povey Cross Road & at Charlwood school. Love to Gwen & Jill.

Hello,
I've only just heard this very sad news. What a shock!
I sat near to him at work for a few years and I remember him retiring on the 4th Nov. '16 and I thought "Good on you mate!'. Occasionally he'd pass me on his bike and when he stopped he was so chatty flashing a radiant smile with a cheeky sense of humour/fun.
Anyway, please send my wishes and the belated wishes from Aero-D (I left at 58 this year) to his sister and wider family. Best wishes and God bless! Glen

  • Hi Jill, I am your second cousin. I met you once at Allens Cottage in the 50's when you were a baby. I never met Paul and I'm sad to hear that he died last year. I know Tessa and Margaret very well. Howesjf@aol.com John F Howes

All the best Paul. You were the fittest of all of us, striding away towards the horizon. Always a pleasure being with you on hikes and conservation work. You will be sadly missed. All the best, Dave McDermid
