I have happy memories of my childhood living next door but one to the Fearnley family on Dawson Mount. It was lovely to meet up with Brenda again a few years ago in Ilkley and to spend time reminiscing about the good old days. Brenda was the oldest of us all and always took the lead organising us during the summer holidays taking us children off for the day picnicing and blackberry picking. Happy days and so long ago but never forgotten. RIP dear Brenda.

Brenda, a true one off. Family matriarch, generous, feisty, funny, keeper of family memories, previously fond of a schooner of sherry, more lately partial to a Grey Goose and tonic. Embroiderer, reader, crossword and jigsaw puzzle lover who enjoyed a good day out, especially with family. The gap you have left will never be filled but we are all the richer for having had you as a part of our lives. Much love Big Sister from baby sister and Geoff xxxx
