In loving memory of Diarmid O'Hara who sadly passed away on 18th July 2020.

Dear Family & Friends,

Thank you for all your condolences following the death of Diarmid. Cormac, Sinead, Patrick & myself are truly grateful for all the messages, the beautiful flowers, the practical help & the spiritual support.

Diarmid will be at home from 5-7pm on Thursday, 30th July for anyone who wishes to see him. Just after 7pm he will be piped from the house. The cortège will travel down Ayr Road & along Fruin Avenue to St. Cadoc’s Church. We hope people might line the route to pay their respects. Unfortunately due to the current Covid situation there is no normal access to the church for the reception of his body.

Diarmid’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, 31st July at 10am in St. Cadoc’s Church, Fruin Avenue, G77 6HA. Again there is no normal access to the church.
We plan to broadcast the Requiem Mass via Zoom to allow family and friends the opportunity to join us if they wish. We are also hoping to relay the service via speakers into the car park of St. Cadoc’s for those who may wish to join us there, although this can only happen if strict social distancing rules are observed. After the Requiem Mass, Diarmid will then travel to Linn Crematorium.

We are trying to make the best of the situation surrounding Covid. I know everyone will adhere to the social distancing guidelines but I have been asked to remind you. Also to try & keep the car park & adjacent street as clear as we can of vehicles by parking slightly further away. I’m sorry to have to relay this information!

The dress code is black. We also ask that in lieu of flowers you may consider a donation to either Cosgrove Care (www.cosgrovecare.org.uk) or Starchild Uganda (www.starchildcharity.com). Cormac is proud Young Ambassador for both these charities & they are close to our heart.

We hope that when life returns to some kind of normality after Covid that we may have a Memorial Service for Diarmid.

Thank you all again,

Yvonne, Cormac, Sinead, Patrick

* We shall update this notice shortly with a Zoom link where you can join us for Diarmid's requiem mass.

Very sad to hear about Diarmid. Too young. We were in the same secondary school and had some good times. A very intelligent and sensible guy. Condolences to all his family.
