In loving memory of Maurice Revill who sadly passed away on 14th July 2020

Maurice was born in Pinxton, the second youngest of 5 children. He was close to his family. attending Kirkstead School, Pinxton.

He joined the navy in 1958 as a 15 ½ year old first going to HMS Ganges at the training ship, then HMS St Vincent’s where he was taught all aspects of naval life and specifically gunnery.

Married Margaret in 1965 and went on to have two daughters. Moving to Singapore in 1967 and returning to the UK in 1970. Sadly, losing Margaret to cancer in 1986

Maurice remarried Joyce and remained living life to the full and creating many very happy memories for all the family.

Maurice was diagnosed with mixed dementia 2 years ago and more recently cancer.

Maurice loved anything to do with trains, old movies, and being by the sea.

He was devoted to his family and will be very sadly missed.

Very sorry for your loss... couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour growing up. A really top bloke who always had time for us and never got angry even when I smashed the shed window! Lots of love, Jack, Kara and Ella x

It was a very sad day when I heard about your passing. I will always remember how great you were with me and my brother since we were babies, we couldn't have asked for a better role model and Grandad. It's a shame we didn't see each other so much in the last few years but I knew you always supported what I was doing and I always appreciated how interested you were in my new life. Love you always, Grandad. X

I am so pleased to have met Uncle Maurice in Nov-2018. Fond memories of him "guarding" us on the streets of Newton-Abbot like we were little girls. Every child remains a child in the eyes of a loving parent. Home is where love is. You are home, Uncle Maurice, rest in peace.

Deepest condolences to Sonia and Donna. xx
