In loving memory of Susan Carter who suddenly passed away at home on 3rd July 2020 aged 74.

Sue was born on 8 May 1946 to Joe and Jen Forster. She married Douglas Carter in September 1965 who preceded her in death in 2015.
Sue is survived by her brothers Terry, Andrew and Ian; her four children Richard, Sally, Michelle and Jennifer; grandchildren, Katie, Toni, Chris, Hannah, Josh, Ellie, Emily and Dylan; plus great grandchildren Chloe, Jessica, Lee, Megan, Rhian and Orlaith.
For many years, Sue enjoyed working as a chef at the County High School for Girls in Chelmsford where she achieved many qualifications. She went on to chef at a hotel and nursing home before retiring.
In her retirement, she joined the Great Baddow Horticultural Society and competed extremely successfully in baking and flower arranging (sourced from her garden). Following the loss of Dougie, she spent as much time as possible in the company of her family in Essex and Lancashire and continued to enjoy pottering around the garden.
Due to the Coronavirus, attendance at her funeral on 5 August is restricted to 20 close family. A Webcast is available, please contact us for details. She requested spring flowers from family only (to be sent via the Co-op details on this page) and donations to Little Havens Children’s Hospice (again details on this page) or cheques can be sent via the Co-op.
