We are sad to announce the death of dearly beloved Gordon Leonard Belsham, but are celebrating and remembering the life of a fantastic and humorous husband, son, brother, father, grandad, teacher and active member of the community of Pinchbeck since 1970.

He passed away peacefully at Pilgrim Hospital on 10th June after a long illness. Gordon leaves behind his children: Melanie, Zoe and Ashley, their spouses and children, his mother Joan and his sister Jenny.

Gordon married Carole Love in 1968 , at the age of 21 and they lived a happy, loving marriage together in Pinchbeck until she passed away in 2002 due to cancer. Since the early 1970’s, Gordon was an active member of the community of Pinchbeck and the
surrounding areas. He ran Gosberton Youth Club in the 1970’s and 80’s and was Chairman of Pinchbeck Social Club for a number of years. Gordon taught at William Hildyard Primary School for 26 years and was sorely missed by all when he retired.

His children and grandchildren greatly miss: his love of music; our adventurous caravanning holidays as children; fun trips abroad in later life; his love of wildlife and the outdoors; and the way he wonderfully enriched our lives at home just as much as he loved educating his children at school.

The funeral will take place on the 7th July at 2pm in Pinchbeck cemetery for immediate family only due to current restrictions. We ask you to light a candle for Gordie at the time of the service in remembrance of him.

so sorry to hear this, I remember Gordon very well. I used to attend Gosberton Youth Club and sometimes he would give me a lift if I couldn't get there from Surfleet. He was always smiling and always very helpful.
