Linda Margaret Joy (26 Jun 1944 - 31 May 2020)

My dear friend. Gone but never forgotten. Rest in Peace. xx

I will miss Linda very much, I hold very happy memories which make me smile and we shared those the last time we spoke.x

As I sit here and picture Linda, I see a very elegant lady smartly dressed with her hair tied up in a bun, emaculate makeup, a smile on her face and a glint in her eyes. Draped over her shoulder a cardigan or jacket. We would be standing in her kitchen discussing what flavour of coffee to have all the while me pinching all her M&M's on the counter top

Many of the happy memories from my young life featured you and your sisters, whether they involved parties in London or random games of cricket in the country.
We will remember you always and think of you often.

Linda (Mum) was one in a million. She was beautiful inside and out. She was kind and generous. She was the voice of reason when I couldn’t make sense of things. I feel so blessed to have known her. I will never forget you. Rest in Peace.

When I sit here picturing you I see your hair tied up in a bun, your makeup immaculate, a broad smile on your face and a glint in your eyes. There is a cardigan or jacket elegantly draped over your shoulder under which is a very smart outfit. Linda was a lovely caring Auntie who always put others before herself. I feel richer for having had her in my life and my family's lives. We will all miss her dearly.

So many happy memories dear Linda, of times when we were children, down in the country at our house, or up in Pascoe Road at yours. Always a party going on at yours so it seemed. But lots of good memories as adults too. Did not see as much of you as I should, or would have liked to, but loved you dearly always, a lovely cousin with a winning smile. So sorry I did not see you in the last few months, but will remember forever our telephone chats, even when you were too tired to talk. Goodbye you lovely girl, Martin

Linda, a beautiful person, and, for me, a lifetime friend.
We attended the same primary school, in the 1950’s.
During the 1960’s, we were with a group of friends that socialised and partied together in Hither Green. Linda’s parents were always willing hosts, particularly if David Kempster was there to sing Danny Boy!
In the 1970’s, Linda and I were reunited at Citi.
Condolences to Barry, Rachel, Connie, Anita, Patricia, and all the family.

So fondly remembered as the lovely mum of my first BFF, Rachel. Such a kind lady, many happy memories of times spent playing at the flats, I always used to marvel at her immaculate bun, which was still the same in the last picture I saw, she always had such a lovely voice and loved hearing the stories of holidays with much loved family in America. Sending much love to Rachel, Barry and all the family and will be thinking of you all at this very difficult time xxx

Really shocked to read the passing of Linda. What can I say or add to the lovely and beautiful tributes from her family and ex work colleagues? I worked in Citi for many years, and Linda was always a most helpful, happy and relaxed person and a delight to work with. RIP Linda, and my very sincere condolences to your family.

I knew of Linda when I was growing up as Mum worked with her at Citi. On a trip to Boston she bought some Beanie Babies which I was collecting back and a large Jar of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. I was so excited to have these things that I couldn’t get in England at the time.

I was then lucky enough to work with Linda myself in Unit Trust Reconciliations as a 16 year old. She took me under her wing and taught me the ropes. Forever grateful for knowing wonderful, kind souls such as Linda through being part of the Citibank family. Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady. xxx
