In loving memory of James Peter Steer who sadly passed away on 13th May 2020.
James Steer was 40 years old and was born in Dartford Kent on the 28th November 1979.

James grew up in Joydens Wood Bexley with his Dad, Mum Sister and 2 Brothers with many happy memories Where the whole area of children would be out playing 40-40, It, knock down ginger or just playing football.
James made some good friendships from this time that remained with him until the end.

When James was younger we lived in a pub for a little while called the Woodman this is where he got his pool skills from he joined the pool team with his Dad and went to pool matches every week that continued for years. This was Something James and his Dad did together.

His lifelong passion was LFC he supported them since he was little and never stopped he really was one of their biggest fans.

James has worked since he was 16 first working for a printing company then ending with painting and decorating he was a Very hard worker.

James also liked his cars and his favourite car was his white RS Turbo he loved that car and was so proud of it.

James found another passion for himself his fishing he started when he was a teenager and he loved it he would go whenever he could, he would stay at the lakes then in the morning go to work then straight back to the lakes he would do that for days at a time.

I (his sister) was at the lakes with him and I said to him why do you like it so much he sat back in his chair looked in front of him with a big smile and said it’s not all about the fishing, (then he banned me from the lakes because he said I’m to loud) I know he felt at peace fishing he could chill and relax while doing what he loved.

When James had cancer he was so strong he overcome it although it was a hard battle he did it, even while he was having his chemo he didn’t want anyone going with him although Katie went and waited outside for him. I think it was that he didn’t want anyone seeing him like that.
We all offered but he wouldn’t let us.

James went on to have 2 children Harry and Archie they were his boys and he loved them dearly, He was so proud of them and even took them fishing sometimes.

Unfortunately James suffered with mental health and in the end it was just to strong for him to fight everyday.
James is at peach now he has no more fights to bear.
He is a much loved Son, Dad, Brother, Uncle and friend he will live on within his sons and everyone’s memories.
He will be sitting in the sky looking down and realise how loved he is by everyone.

James is missed each and everyday and will never be forgotten.

I'm sitting on James's bench now at the Big Lake in Darenth. It's freezing cold but not when I'm on the bench. Have watered the flowers, take care and love to all xx
