Mary Bernadette Bradley (née Flannery), late of Kiln Cottages, Stowmarket, died peacefully at West Suffolk Hospital on 6th May 2020, aged 92. There will be a private cremation. Memorial events will be organised for family and friends in Ireland, Grimsby and Stowmarket when it is safe for people to meet. Donations if wished made payable to: TB Alert, The Fishermen’s Mission or Cafod. In her 20's Mary spent a year in hospital after contracting TB through her work as a nurse caring for TB patients. She took part in the first clinical trial that led to a cure. She graduated from university age 76 with a dissertation on the Fishing Industry in Grimsby, and she was an active member of the Catholic church who believed in a fair world for everyone.
