Thoughts of Dad.
I am still trying to come to terms with this loss.
Dad will always be my Hero.
He has always been there for me, a patient, understanding and kind man.
He has shown me the way to be a family man, how to work hard, how to provide a stable home and how to nurture my children & grandchildren.

Dad has always loved mum and ensured that she was looked after and kept safe. Even when his own health was failing. Their separation has always been a bitter pill to take for Dad.
I cannot describe to you my feelings of sadness at his passing.

Roy worked for Chatham Dockyard from the age of 14 until it closed & he then worked at Portland dockyard until he retired.
As children he would take us to Dockyard open days & proudly show us where he worked as well as telling tales. A few years ago in his eighties he came to a Forties festival with myself, his granddaughter & two of his great granddaughters & had a great time at the now Historic Dockyard experience.
In loving remembrance of my Dad who taught me so much xxx Sally
