In loving memory of John Roy Turner who passed away on 23rd March 2020, aged 91 years. He was much loved and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends
How can you say goodbye to someone when you didn’t have the chance to say the goodbye you wanted? How can someone live to be 91 but not live long enough? How can someone be so strong, but not strong enough to carry on?
He was a private man, a gentle man and a gentleman he didn’t care to be centre of attention and liked to keep his own counsel but would provide a forceful opinion when he was moved.
But a full life well lived celebrating his diamond wedding anniversary with the love of his life Patricia the ying to his yang. His weeks judged by how well he played golf and was fortunate to be able to play several times a week with his good friends. That and sitting in his chair with a book, crossword puzzle or Sudoku as like as not asleep but this was always denied. So active to the end with golf and gym visits.
So how can you summaries ninety years? Love. We all knew that he loved us dearly and was happiest having all the family making a hell of a noise and stealing cuddles. Goodnight dad sleep well
