In loving memory of Iris Mary Allen, who sadly passed away on Sunday 5th April, 2020.
A truly exceptional wife, mother and grandmother, she was also a devoted primary school teacher for over 52 years, touching the lives of generations of children, selflessly giving them each her undivided attention and unique fortitude. She will be greatly missed.
Iris spent her last week at the Wisdom Hospice, an amazing place filled with extraordinary staff; we will be forever in their debt for their love and kindness.
Please leave messages, memories and photographs of Iris here. They are of great comfort to the family at this difficult time when we cannot be together and we thank you for the many tributes and kind messages already received.
Iris will make her final journey on Friday 1st May. Please take a few precious minutes to think of her as we say our final goodbye.

This news has only just reached me tonight. It has been many many years since I have seen Mrs Allen but she truly was one of the kindest, most caring people. She had the biggest heart and I was always excited to see her. So many young people (now old in my case!) have been lucky to have her touch our lives. I feel honoured to say I met her and look back on my memories of cycling to her house to visit fondly. She brought much joy to many people and will be so sorely missed.
