In loving memory of Linda Scarborough who sadly passed away on 23rd April 2020.
Our mum, and wife of nearly 50 years to our dad, sadly passed away with us all by her side following a long and brave battle with cancer. We are grateful for being able to be there with our mum and dad, particularly during current times.
She was an amazing wife to Nick; sister to Dave; mum to Jo, Cary and Nick; mother-in-law to Neil, Kelly and Chris; nan to Jess and Alex and nanny to Luke, Seb and Amelia.
She was always there for all of us in our close family, and we know that she meant so much to so many.
She has shown so much bravery and strength over the last few years, always smiling and never complaining. We all love her so much and will miss her terribly.
Our mum received such great care from NHS community and district Nurses, Carers from Home Instead, and from Woodlands Hospice's 'Hospice at Home' service. We have appreciated all of this support and it highlights just how important and valuable their roles are; the help really is there when you need it.
Our mum's funeral will take place on Wednesday 6th May at 08.50, however unfortunately we're unable to say goodbye to her with all her friends and family present due to the current government restrictions. This includes having no more than 10 people present.
We will be leaving our mum and dad's address at approximately 08.20 on the day, and if anyone would like stand near the house to pay their respects they are very welcome to do so.
We will also have a web link where the service can be watched live, or at a later time. We know so many people would have wanted to be there, so if you would like to receive the web link, please e-mail choward1908@yahoo.co.uk with your e-mail address and we will send it prior to mum's service.
We are limited to family flowers only, however if anyone would like to make a donation to Woodlands Hospice in memory of our mum, please click on the link.
