Curious, strong-willed, authentic, inimitable, smart, witty. Loved hot curries, strong cheese, cigarettes and lots of coffee. A fan of chess, Dr Who, maths, music by The Who and once trying to teach judo to his children.
Never without a comb in his back pocket. A unique character who was loved so much by his family. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him.

Nothing loved is ever lost and you were loved so much.

Bernard, I was very proud to have you as a husband and a best friend. You were a wonderful father and husband . You will be missed very, very much by Mark, Michaela and myself but you will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts and in my prayers.
Goodbye my darling. I hope one day we will be together again.
All my love
