R.I.P Barry I remember you coming to Silsden Park to watch the rugby league back in the day when I was playing. It was great to meet up with you again several times last year at the Cougars you kept me entertained and we had many good laughs. A top bloke who will be missed by many

So very sad and shocked to hear the news of your passing Barry. You were the loveliest of men, a gentleman, so kind and always smile or a joke and a pleasure to play against. You were a true Champion of Champions. Bless you x

I only met Barry 10 years ago when he brought a Winter team to our new competition at Hove Edge.
During the winter months I got to know Barry the bowler well, always a smile, a kind word, a bit of banter not only for the opposition but the organisers, the Green Keeper and the ladies in the kitchen, a top bloke.
I also played with Barry in the Yorkshire Parks County Vets team and last year in the Bradford Inter District Vets team and he always brought that personality with him to those games.
The Hove Edge League will miss him and I will miss him - RIP Barry, you were one of the best.
