Dear Dad
I’ve realised that we never actually sat and had a conversation, you and I, so I never really got the chance to know the real you. I want to say, though, that I’m glad I decided to establish a connection – after all, without you I would not have my own two angels. It’s very sad that certain bridges remained unbuilt, but I for one will miss you and the cups of tea! With love, Jacqui xx

When winter's breath is in the air
When birds are silent, trees are bare
Icy winds are sharp and strong
Days are short, and nights are long
You know one day the birds will sing
And that there'll be another spring
When there'll be blossom on the spray
No one can take that hope away
It helps you through your tears and pain
To know that you will meet again
For with each springtime you can see
That life goes on eternally.

Sorry for loss Hollie of a very special Grandad xx

Sitting alone my heart filled with pain, Wondering if or when we will meet again,
The world keeps turning, life carries on, but my heart has been broken since the day you were gone.
I can’t seem to rest, my heads in a spin, my dreams full of memories, I’m just trying to take it all in
Sorry I’m not strong enough to say these words out loud,
To have stood up at your funeral would have made you so proud.
I’m struggling daily with how I feel inside, when I wake up the grief washes over me like a tide.
Your going to miss out on so many things,
especially the day I exchange rings.
Watching my girls travel their chosen path,
Telling them about you and showing your photograph.
I know you will be with me inside my heart, at the set of the sun and the days start
So now it’s time to say goodbye,
you spread your wings and take to the sky
In the whisper of the wind and the glisten of the rain,
I carry you in my heart until we meet again.
