In loving memory of Paul Oldham who sadly passed away on 4th April 2020.

Husband to Elaine, father to his 2 Daughters Jennifer and Kirsty, father in law to James and Kyle and Grandad to Evie-Mae, Chloe, Thomas and Amelia.

Born on 28th August 1954 to parents Doreen and Thomas.
Youngest of the family, brother to Beverley and Micheal.

He married Elaine on 22nd June 1974 and they went on to have Jennifer in 1977 and Kirsty in 1987.

Went by the name Ernie whilst being the milkman in 1980 and in later years having been an avid squash and Racquetball player and part of the manor health and racquets club he was nicknamed “The General”

As a close family we are so lucky to have had so many amazing memories with him, holidays abroad, centre parcs and trips away to name a few.

As many of you know he was cruelly taken by Covid-19 on Sat 4th April 2020.

He was loved so much by everyone and has left a massive hole in our lives. We now sit and listen to the birds outside and think of him as Birdwatching was his favourite pastime.

Dad will forever be in our hearts and we thank everyone for the amazing support and love we have all received during this difficult time.

With the current situation we are unable to give him the send off he deserves therefore the funeral will be immediate family only and a memorial service will be arranged for later in the year for everyone to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

Instead of flowers if you would like to make a donation we are raising money for the NHS and/or British Heart Foundation. Just giving links will follow ASAP.

Paul and Elaine have been good friends and neighbours for over 30 years. Paul could turn his hand to anything and was a very generous person. We have lots of fond family memories from camping expeditions to boozy bbqs. We miss Paul enormously and wish he’d had more time to enjoy his interests from birding to flying his new drone. We will take great pleasure in watching the birds Paul and thinking of you.
May you rest in peace X

Kirsty, you are one of the most kind, genuine and loving people I have ever met. Your love for your dad radiated, whether that was at your 30th birhday party or on speaker phone whilst you were doing my lashes. You always make time for family and that was so obvious. You care for your niece and nephew as if they were your own, you treat your friends like family also. You have two beautiful daughters who are following in your footsteps with their positivity and compassion. Your Dad must be so so proud of you and all the family and will have found comfort in knowing he did a bloody good job as a father and grandfather. Sending my love to you all xxx
