Mom yesterday was so hard, pretending all is OK when I fact I'm broken 💔 miss you so much. I love you more and most mostest 💐
In loving memory of my mom Anna Gerry nee McGlade, only daughter born to William and Margaret. Anna grew up in Linthouse then moved to Penilee. In 1971 she and my dad moved to then Rhodesia with my sister and myself, they then went on to have two more kids - my brothers, and eventually moved to South Africa.
Mom worked hard bringing us up and looking after dad. We wanted for nothing. In 1992 we got the devastating news that she had breast cancer, we as most do, we thought the worst that we were going to loose our mom, my dad his wife.
Eventually after 34yrs in Africa we moved back to Scotland and after being here for two years we got more sad news that the cancer had spread to her lungs also throughout her bones, unknown to us that type of lung cancer would only give my mom a couple of months to live - but against all odds my brave and courageous mom went 12yrs with lung and 27yrs with breast cancer before she lost her life to the cancer. Mom always told us that she lived with cancer it did not dictate her life. Those whose lives she has touched knew how brave she was never once complaining about how sore she was or how sick she felt. Mom will be sorely missed by her four children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
