From my childhood my cousin Pat was a cornerstone of joy, laughter, volatility, hospitality, loud determination and love. The food, wine, love and jaunty wisdom intermingled and flowed in generous proportions. If she invited ten people to supper sixteen might turn up she just laughed and upped her game. When she stood, we all stood, whether to argue or agree we did so with respect, love and generally laughter. I hope that there are dogs in heaven.
