In loving memory of the late Thomas Thorold who sadly passed away on 28th April 2015.
Loving husband of Maureen, father of Alan and Marie, brother of Diane and John, grandad to Allie-Marie, Teigan and Connor.
He was the eldest of three children born to Janet and Leslie and grew up on Albion St in Beeston, Nottingham later moving to Pinxton in 1971 after he got married.
Tom was a welder for most of his working life starting at Sheetfabs when he was 15, he went on to Grayson Millwards and Sitwell Joinery among others until he retired from James Engineering, taking on the easier life in the garden.
He enjoyed watching sports such as snooker, cricket, darts and Grand Prix racing. He enjoyed holidays in the Lakes, Cornwall and Mablethorpe with Maureen and the dog. He and Maureen recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.
He did as most men do have a passion for a pint, spending most of his drinking time in the Three Horse Shoes, Pinxton where he had got an almost celebrity status for being grumpy.
He will be sadly missed and touched many people's hearts and minds in his own way.
