Douglas taught me on the Access to HE course over twenty years ago at NEWI now Known as Glyndwr. He was so encouraging and created an interesting to me for Geography. Something I didn’t enjoy at school but through Douglas’ enthusiasm I now enjoy it so much. He was a very nice man and a good lecturer.
He was proud of where he grew up, I seem to recall him taking us on a detour on our way to the ALternative Technology Centre . I think he showed us his house or maybe his Aunt’s. He reminisced as we were on our journey.
My thoughts are with you all.

Uncle Doug - You assumed an avuncular role for me and sister Julie. A warm, generous and loving man and a true Wrexhamite. You have gone to Glory and we will all meet up. God bless, Paul.
