Difficult to put into words the fond memories I have of my ‘Fairy Godfather’. The big cuddles and amazing sense of humour stand out, the latter reducing me to giggles!. And to be honest I’ve never quite recovered from the drive around the winding Lincolnshire roads in the Porsche!
Sending all my love to Anita, Chantelle and Karon sorry I can’t be there

Eddie was always so friendly to us, he would stop to chat if we were out and about in the village. When I had a problem with my car, he did not hesitate to help. He was always interested to hear about how our children were getting on. We still have the truck rubbers that he gave to the boys many years ago when they were young. We send our heartfelt condolences to Anita and all the family.

Eddie was a great neighbour, who would always go the extra mile to help. Always willing to help the boys when they had issues with their cars. Took them to see the trucks he worked on - Lasting memories that the boys will hold dear.
Our love goes out to Anita,Chantelle Karon & family

Eddie was a great neighbour and friend and a excellent engineer. He helped me numerous times with car problems, one that a franchised garage seemed unable to resolve, and he made it look simple and sorted it in 20 minutes, brilliant. I remember going for swift rides in his jaguars, notability his E Type which he re built from what was an insurance right off, amazing, always remembered with a smile.

Sending our love to Anita, Chantelle and Karon at this time. Eddie was an amazing husband, incredible dad and formidable person., who touched the lives of all he met. He achieved so much! He was our uncle, who looked out for us in our early years when our mum needed a hand. We are so grateful for that. Bruce and I had the pleasure of hosting you both in Australia in 2010, and we cherish those memories. Sending our heartfelt love and condolences to you all at this time and big kiss to uncle Edmund. Thank you for taking care of our mum.

Ed was such a kind and generous man, in fact, along with Nita the best neighbour we’ve ever had. Our enduring memories of him are his sense of fun and ready laugh, his helpfulness and his readiness to go “that extra mile” ( we are thinking particularly about Peter the fish).
Ed will be sorely missed by all who new him before his cruel illness affected him.
