In loving memory of Denis William Jones who sadly passed away on 1st February 2020.
Our Dad passed away peacefully after a short illness and suffering from Alzheimer’s Dementia.
We are grateful for all the kind messages that we have received and have arranged for his funeral to be at Cottingley Crematorium on Friday 21st February at 12.20, followed by refreshments at The Drysalters Pub (over the road). In lieu of flowers we would appreciate a donation in his name to the RNLI, after his love of the sea.
Dad had lived a full life and had many stories to tell, from the time he was an evacuee and lived with family in Wales, returning home to London to play in the rubble. He loved his time in the Merchant Navy, and you probably know about the time he fell whilst painting the ships chimney and broke his leg!
It would be great if you could share your stories of him as well, so he can live on in our memories.
