Dunxu Wu (27 Feb 1939 - 27 Jan 2020)

吴敦序教授于1月27日下午1:20 在St Helier Hospital 因病去世，享年81岁。

吴敦序教授1939年2月27日出生于四川成都。1962年毕业于上海中医学院（现上海中医药大学）。 1978-1981跟随金寿山教授，张伯纳教授攻读硕士。

1981-1998工作入上海中医药大学基础医学院，担任讲师，副教授，教授，呈任博士生导师。全国中医基础理论重点学科学术带头人和博士后流动站负责人。

历任中医基础教研室主任，基础医学院院长，中国中医药教材编委会委员。

1998-2006 在英国中医药研究所，天田公司等中医单位任中医师，同时担任英国中医学会（ATCM）顾问。他是该学会的终身名誉会员。

2006年退休后，在英国牛津大学指导博士后研究。

Professor Dunxu Wu sadly passed away at 1:20pm on 27th January 2020 in St Helier Hospital.

Professor Dunxu Wu was born on 27th February 1939 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in China. In 1962 he graduated from University of Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine, from 1978 to 1981 he was studying a Masters degree which was led by Professor ShouSan Jin and Professor Bona Zhang.

From 1981-1998 he was working for the college of basic theory of Chinese Medicine as a lecturer to a PhD supervisor and the head of the the college of basic theory of Chinese Medicine.

From 1998 to 2006 he was working in the Institute of Chinese Medicine in the UK. Following this he worked in Tian Tian Chinese Medicine Clinic and other clinics in the UK as a Chinese Medicine practitioner. He is a life-long fellow of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM).

From 2006 he was helping Oxford University in researching the Philosophy of Chinese Medicine with Professor Elisabeth Hsu.

The funeral will be at 4.00pm on 19th February 2020 in North East Surrey Crematorium, Lower Morden Lane, Morden, SM4 4NU
