In loving memory of our beautiful, unforgettable boy Brandon David Knight who tragically lost his life on 13th January 2020 aged just 20 years.

Brandon was a larger than life character, highly popular, funny, smart, innovative and stunningly handsome young man just on the brink of beginning training to fulfil his dream to join the Royal Marines. He was very intelligent and inquisitive throughout his whole life with an element of mischief, always experimenting, always asking many many questions until he was satisfied with the answers and leaving us utterly exhausted!

Brandon is survived by his younger brother Tyler (18) and sister Yasmin (16), all whom attended Holywell Primary School in Upchurch. They had a very close relationship with each other throughout the whole of their lives and Brandon and Tyler shared the same friends, often socialising in the same circles to this current day. Both are utterly devastated by his death.

Brandon went on to attend Rainham Mark Grammar School before leaving at 16 to study for an Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment at Waterfront UTC where he achieved Distinction grades all round.

He then secured a LEAD Apprenticeship programme as a Trainee Quarry Manager for Hanson UK. There were 4 vacancies available for the whole of the UK and Brandon was offered the South East Regional post out of hundreds of candidates. However, after a year, Brandon decided that it was not for him before going to work as a trainee fabricator/welder for A1M Steel where he remained until his last days. Colleagues expressed their shock and disbelief at his death, describing him as a really well liked lad with great potential who will be sorely missed.

Brandon packed a lot into his young life and thrived on the thrill of participating in action packed sports. He was a regular member of his local BSAC Diving club and trained hard at his local Muay Thai Martial Arts club where he showed ability to do well. On learning of his passing, his coach expressed his sorrow at losing Brandon on behalf of the club, whom they considered as 'One of their own'. In August 2019, Brandon completed a skydive at Headcorn Airfield with his brother and friends and described it as 'the best thing I have ever done!' He was also a competent skier from the age of 5 and managed a few skiing trips abroad in recent years. He had also passed all tests ready to begin his training for the Marines.

Brandon was an absolute one off! Gone far far too soon, never ever forgotten and loved and missed by more people than he could ever realise!!!

R.I.P. our beautiful angel. Don't play too many pranks up there, people are trying to rest!! We will see you again when it's our turn to cross Rainbow Bridge.

* One of the reasons Brandon wanted to join the Royal Marines was so he could make a difference, to help humanitarian causes and to join forces and work alongside colleagues he would grow to love as family. When Brandon passed, he donated his organs as this was his final chance to fulfil that humanitarian wish. So far, we know he has definitely saved at least 4 young people's lives who would certainly have died very soon had Brandon not quickly given them the precious gift of life. There are potentially more he can help, but we do not know details yet*

We are so so proud of you son and always will be. We are blessed and honoured to have had you as the most precious gift in our lives alongside your brother and sister. We will miss you, grieve you and love you always and forever.

Your loving family. xxxxxxx
