We laid you to rest on April 17th finally you were in the place you loved.
The day was mixed for us Dad... the rules had changed and we were not prepared for the sadness.
Your flowers looked beautiful and we hoped you liked the choice of songs..
Everyday doesn't get better Dad it just worsens when I am reminded you are not here.
Love you eternally xxx

FURTHER UPDATE...…… It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform EVERYONE that there are new rules today from the church of England.... the burial can still take place at the graveside however 5 people are only allowed to attend... this mean NO ONE even grandchildren can attend and it will only be mum, Terry, Anita, myself and Garry in attendance... this has broken all of our hearts but is beyond our control....There will be a memorial service with a church ceremony and wake exactly like we had planned for the funeral which will take place on Saturday April 17th at 2pm 2021.... EVERYONE will be invited to come and celebrate dads life in the way it should have been done this year.... Please say a prayer for dad on the day and all stay safe .. xxx

Ps... if you read this and have family that may not read this can you please pass the message on … love you all xx

UPDATE...….
Hi All..... Firstly I hope you are all safe and well..... Unless you have been on a space station you will have all heard about the virus situation. This has obviously had an impact on the funeral arrangements. We are no longer allowed to have any limo's so will be using our own cars. As all pubs have now closed the wake will no longer be at the Cricketers pub but will take place at mums house 14 Mierscourt close Rainham Kent Me8 6nu.... There has also been strict culling of numbers attending. I know some of you have illness that puts you into the vulnerable category and therefore cannot attend and I fully understand. There are others who do not wish to attend as they are fearful of groups of people and I also understand this. So please would the people I have tagged in this group let me know if you are coming or not. I need to know for definite now as I have to give the reverend an update on numbers. if you were waiting to see how things go please don't... they wont be getting any better in 3 weeks...so if you say you are not attending now I cannot change it in a weeks time. I know this sounds stern but we have to know immediately. If you cannot attend we are hoping to have a live stream on facebook so you can still be a part of my dads send off. It is so long over due. Any flowers can still be sent to John weir rainham high street KENT. or to mums address both by 12 on the day. … Stay safe peeps and please let me know ASAP xxx

I have been asked by some people attending for near by hotels so the link above is the nearest to the church … although it shows Rainham Essex please be assured once you click on the link it takes you to the correct Rainham in Kent....

  • UPDATE...…. I have been told that the premier inn in Rainham is nearly £100 per night however I have looked at the premier inn attached to the honourable pilot pub in Gillingham business park and it is half that price and still a bit further along the A2 so please check this one out if Rainham Kent isn't for you...

  • The weekend in Terry's motor home to Herne Bay....Dad had such a brilliant time... with myself, Terry, Kellyann, Shannon, Kenton. Mick and Shaun. .. He even was awarded the best caravan exit after literally leaving the motor home without the steps down.... Dad you were such a good sport and I swear if it hadn't of been for the sea wall you would have ended up in France along with Kenton's balloon..... Happy days we will always treasure.... xxxx
