Florence Rita Birch (30 Sep 1930 - 26 Dec 2019)

Mum - life goes on but we wish you and Dad were here to share it with us. I miss talking to you on Sundays, even when I knew you were concentrating on a tennis match! You kept going until the end and now you can rest with Dad. What will happen in 'Emmerdale' if you are not there to watch it? You'll always be with us.

We never had the pleasure of meeting Jeny's Mom, but felt as though we knew her--a lovely woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. May her family and friends be comforted by knowing she is resting in peace.

Dear Flo
I will never forget you, your kind ways and your beautiful smile. Rip we will miss you

Regrettably I won't be able to attend the funeral today to pay my respect to dear Flo. Always in my thoughts. Love to all the extended family and thinking of you all. Will pause for a prayer at 3.30pm x

Everyone loves to make mother-in-law jokes because usually they (correctly) tell the tale of a difficult (but necessary) relationship. Having spent hours in a tiny Volkswagen Golf driving halfway across the USA in the heat of the summer with Flo, Ron & Jeny when we first met, I can say I had the best mother-in-law ever! For the past 40+ years Flo was ALWAYS happy, helpful, and fun to be around. Although Jeny and I knew this day would come, I for one will miss sitting with Flo at Devon Close watching the telly and enjoying her great home cooked meals. Hopefully she will soon be re-united with Ron so that they may resume their time together forever. Although I can not physically attend the Service of Thanksgiving, in spirit I am there wishing Flo all the best in the after life. Rest in Peace Flo; the best mother-in-law any one could ever hope for.
