In later life she followed in her late father’s footsteps and was ordained a minister in the United Reformed Church ministering to the congregations in Bishop’s Hull and Paul Street.
The daughter of Rev'd John David and Gwen Jones, Gwyneth was predeceased by her sister Judith and brother David

From our first meeting when I began my post at Taunton United Reformed Church 14 years ago, Gwyneth has been a guide, a friend and supporter. I have been challenged, interrogated, encouraged and blessed by a lady that I consider part of my extended family. From my wedding, my childrens blessing services, my own relatives funeral to my 'moving to Edinburgh tea' Gwyneth was there. Action songs at the Toddler service in church, a gingerbread house sent in the post for my little ones to make, a hand stitched greetings card, a phone call to remind me to have quiet 'Julien of Norwich' time when I was anxious; all so Gwyneth. All treasured memories.
Thank you, Gwyneth, for being in my life. May I have half the grace, determination, tenacity and love that you did for all of us. Bettina
