Peacefully at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Monday December 16 2019, John (formerly of Environmental Health in Edinburgh), much loved husband of Linda (nee Pearson), brother of Tom, father of Lara and Euan and adored papa to Max and Libby. Service will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel on Monday December 30 at 11am to which all are welcome. No flowers, but donations, if desired, to Cancer Research UK.

It is with great sadness, shock and disbelief that I received the news that John passed away.
I have known John personally when he was President of REHIS. In February 2006 we signed together the Deed of Partnership and Twinning between REHIS and APHI Cyprus.
We had developed study tours and exchange visits on subject areas relevant to the work of public and environmental health professionals.
I will always remember him for his kindness, his professional approach, but above all for his eagerness to assist us and give his advice.
A big loss for his family. Condolences to his wife and children.
May God rest his soul in peace.
