My grandpa was the most amazing and the only one I had
I remember when I was round 8 years old and we made sailing boats and floated them on the dams at the farm in Australia.
Love you grandpa

Although Eric had only been a member of the Bowls Club for a relatively short time he quickly became an integral part of our club. Most clubs have a youth section but our club where young up an coming members join to take part in whatever sport the club represents, in our case very view new bowlers were under 60, when Eric joined age almost 90:we told him that he could join the youth section. He quickly joined in and took part in everything, Roll ups, Drives, Friendly Matches, Club Competitions and League Matches. I well remember the day he produced his driving license to me “Saying there you are you can see it” I said “See what?” “My date of birth, they don’t believe I'm 90!”.
Eric joined in everything even the work maintaining the green, putting a lot of others 30 years younger to shame.
He enjoyed life and helping others like taking members for a boat trip to raise money for charity. He also told us tales of his war exploits in the Far East.
Eric was a legend loved by all at the Bowls Club, he loved life which he enjoyed to the full, May he rest in peace.
