Dear Brenda Colvin was a real stalwart of the Dixon Street LGBTi Centre, in Glasgow. She volunteered to staff the telephones on the Crosslynx support service within the Lesbian And Gay Switchboard family of helpline services every week without fail and was a genuine decent source of support to her callers and our volunteers alike.

For quite a time Brenda was a Transgender representative at the NHS Sandyford Initiative Central at Sandyford Place who wrote an initial personal user guide to the Transgender services on offer there.

Brenda, in my experience was that always solid good woman who always saw the person, she cared very deeply for equality, decency, safety & promoting the reporting of any Hate Crime always to help those following in her wake.

Brenda may have had her troubles along the way but if someone needed a kindly word or indeed a pithy reality check, Brenda would sweep her own troubles to one side to focus on your needs.

Brenda Colvin I am absolutely certain, will be missed and not forgotten by the very many to whom she offered hope, support and encouragement to be their whole selves. I am very proud to have known and volunteered with Brenda.
