Marilyn was a kind-spirited woman and we could not really have asked for a nicer next-door-neighbour. My kids to this day still have memories of Marilyn coming over to our house when they were little to play with them or when she would gladly throw back all the balls that they ended up throwing into her garden. Even in more recent years, it was always a joy to see her out and about in the neighbourhood and stop for a chat.

Marilyn was always helping the community out and I recall she would bake for some of the families in the Close behind where we live. She would also regularly move our bins after the weekly collection was done so that it was an easier job for us to take them back into our garden. Marilyn also used to, without fail, remember my kids’ birthdays and drop off birthday/Christmas cards every year.

Marilyn has been our next-door-neighbour ever since my family moved in to our home in 1994 and Windsor Avenue just will not be the same without her. May her soul rest in peace.

A dedicated volunteer and student of first aid with a great sense of humour who enjoyed her hobbies, especially her knitting. Marilyn will always be remembered with fondness by the officers and members of National Voluntary Civil Aid Services for her voluntary work on behalf of the charity. A demonstrator of first aid skills Marilyn would support her fellow instructors at Malden Emergency First Aid Society (MEFAS)

She was always aware of the needs of others.

Rest in peace, Marilyn.

You will always be remembered fondly on Windsor Avenue, Marilyn! I will always remember our chat about how this street you loved so dearly was named after Windsor Castle :) and your memories about the New Malden Library. Hope you are happy and light where you are now :)

Rest in peace Marilyn, it will be sad that you are not around for a smile or a chat about Bazalgette.
We take for granted that we see people everyday and when they have gone we realise we didn’t know how much we cared. I will miss all the little things you would do for the street and def seeing you around.
I hope you are happy in the clouds.
Until we meet again.

So sad to hear the news of Marilyn's passing. A long serving member of Malden Emergency First Aid Society and a good friend.
