In loving memory of Pauline Swann who sadly passed away on 4th November 2019

Peter Swann wrote

My darling Pauline, I thought of you with such deep love today but that is nothing new, I thought the same about you yesterday, and the days before that too.

I think about you in silence, and I often speak your name. All I have now are memories and your picture in a frame. Whenever I think of you, it breaks my heart, but the endless joy you once brought into my life, is now the precious memories that warm me too. Your memory is my keepsake with which I can never part, God has you now in his safekeeping, and I will always have you in my heart.

Time will not fade my love for you and I know, that today you are still so very close to me. Whilst I may no longer see or hear you, I know you still walk beside me. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and so very dear to all I am and do.

  • ❤️ beautiful Peter. A reflective day filled with happy memories of beautiful, funny, kind Pauline. I often have a chat with her - the picture in my bedroom. Her sideways glance keeping an eye on me. Probably giggling at me. We’ll never know why she had to go when she did but we know she is safe. I can’t wait to see her again one day for a glass of bubbles in a nice pair of shoes ❤️👠🥂👜 xxx

Hello my lovely. Where to start! What a year. It’s 11 months now since you went to heaven. Your picture hangs on my bedroom wall. I talk to you as I pass which I’m sure you’d giggle at 😉
A strange 2020 with all that’s going on in the world.
I hope you like the flowers at the church. I come to say hello every few weeks.
Life moves on but it also stands still at times. I miss our whatsapp chats and cheeky humour. I think of all the things I should have said & done.
Mostly I just miss knowing you’re there and ok.
Whatever you are doing right now, I hope it’s fun, safe & warm with an amazing handbag.
Love you Mrs.
Jo xxx ❤️🌈🥂

My darling Pauline, today would have been our 28th wedding anniversary. I had 27 wonderful years and the greatest honour of being your husband, I treasure those years as the most precious of gifts and time in my life. Your memory will never fade or get less as time goes forward and on days like today I will be you in my hear mind and soul.

My darling the world has moved on seven moths since you left me - during this time the world has suffered so much pain but it’s not reduced the pain of loosing you. I pray you are in Gods kingdom and look down on us everyday - pray for me as I pray for you.

  • Thank you for sharing Lizzie. Today was beautiful and heartbreaking. Peter spoke so beautifully. The priest Fr Ted spoke in such a relatable and warm way. The church, the music and Pauline’s presence were all things I will remember forever and take her friendship with me wherever I am. We were asked to think of one way in which we might do something better as a result of knowing Pauline. I know lots of things. While my heart is breaking, I’m also able to sit here now laughing at some of the mischief we got up to! I know we all miss her immeasurably but hope now she is in peace and safe 🌈 somewhere over the rainbow Pauline. Xxx

Today, I will be thanking God for Pauline’s life, for I was blessed to have such a special friend who will continue to be a significant part of mine. Pauline’s compassion to both myself and to others was second to none. Many a time, Pauline opened her door to provide comfort and support, displaying her unique ability to provide an unconditional love.
Now that the sun has set, I have lit a candle. I will join in pray for the safekeeping of Pauline. I will also pray for Peter to be guided and comforted through his grief.
Peter, my love and thoughts are with you. Lizzie x

Auntie Pauline, we shared so many lovely times together, you were one of those people that lit up every room you walked into with your beaming smile, an auntie that could sort any problems with a click of the finger, I will never forget the times we sat and joked about all sorts of different things, I’ll always look up to you for the love and courage you expressed at such difficult times. I’ll always Thank-you for being there for us all any time we needed you and I’ll never forget the phone calls we used to share or the days out we had! Thankyou for looking after my Uncle for all these years, I know this won’t stop now as you’ll be looking down on us all as we speak. You will always be in my heart.
Love always Chloe xx
