I was a 19 year old student travelling to England during the summer of 1983 and I ended up getting the seat next to Sadie on the airplane. Long story short, I stayed about 5 days with Sadie and Don in Croydon. I was a total stranger, yet she opened up her home and invited me to stay. There are very few people in the world who would do something like this, and I am eternally grateful to her for this, for it changed the way that I viewed the world. She was such a lovely and friendly person...
