In loving memory of Trevor Richard Smith who sadly passed away on 21st October 2019.

A GREAT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO LIVE LIFE!

Trevor spent his last few days in Colchester Critical Care Unit, where he received excellent care and support for his family.
Instead of flowers, it was Trev's wish that friends and family could donate to this department where he felt he couldn't have asked for better treatment in such circumstances.
Thanks in advance
Trev's family

Trevor was a cheerful likeable character always willing to have a yarn , tell jokes & with lots of banter. In the early years of our friendship when home on leave a quiet run ashore as he put it would often become a longer session. As time moved on &we found partners contact became less but never lost. Fortunately in the later years got to see more of Trev & Lyn & remember with fondnest & love the times we were able to meet & catch up.
Taken too soon , always in our thoughts. XX

Met Trev when we were11 years old, clicked immediately, went to school together, grew up together, had great times together. I could write a book, so many stories. Spent a lot of time together then, and after meeting our partners, Gail and Lyn, & getting married. Certainly the best man at our wedding !
Dear friend then,
Dear friend now,
Dear friend always.
We'll miss you mate.

Trevor Smith the loveable toe rag that I was fortunate to get to meet and sell him his new car, he was chuffed to think that his new car and the colours he chose was like him a bit of a one off.
He had to wait longer than most to get it, and said to me drive it down to Spain and I will put you up for a week. I laughed but he was serious........

Trevor was always up for a chat or a moan when he called in, but was always appreciated us looking at his car at short notice. We need to meet up for a bite to eat he said on many occasion, but unfortunately that never happened. So Trevor I will have that meal raise my glass and wish you a safe journey, one of many that you took in your life time no doubt.

Be good and RIP my friend, definitely going to miss our chats and your cheeky smile.............

Trevor Smith was a wonderful guy, who made you laugh and made you cry.
With his funny jokes and it’s quick witted answer, he was also known as the naked hat dancer.
Now I remember the older I’m getting, the fun we had building his decking, when spreading the cement for the shed base, and Trevor farting in my face.
With his Dracula smile he dared to venture, but he looked quite dapper in a suit and denture.
As we are now all growing old and need our inhaler, we’re going to miss old Trevor the sailor.

What a Guy!!. I, as many that new him, will miss him no end, a nicer person you couldn’t wish to meet, Funny, talented, knowledgeable and a great friend, not a bad crib player either, I only wish I met him years ago. Our thoughts are with Lyn and his family.
