In loving memory of Timothy John Stagg, better known as Tim or Dad, who passed away suddenly on the 7th of October 2019.

Tim was a man who loved the simple things in life. Walks on the beach and in the countryside, the odd glass of nice red wine, time with his loved ones, trips on classic trains and a good meal.

As a young man he was always quite the sportsman. Enjoyed hockey, football, sailing and once or twice rugby, though it wasn’t his game he could still score a try or two. But when he really wanted to feel the adrenaline and wind through his hair he could be seen racing his motorbike both where he should and where he shouldn’t.

In his moments of peace he would love to do the crossword, sudoku or study a bit of Spanish (black adder or cricket in the background though) to make sure he could get the cervezas in on his regular trips to see family in Spain.

But Tim’s real claim to fame was just being an all round grand bloke and amazing dad. Always gentle, caring, loving and understanding. He would be there for anyone, especially his children Rosie, Harry and Joel. The first of which is sadly with him now, but his teachings will live on through his boys as he will live on in the hearts of many.

I cant believe that it has been a year since we lost Tim. I think about him every day and just ask myself so many questions, for which there are no answers. We all loved you so much Tim. Love to the boys. XXX Your family in Arizona.

Tim was my big brother. I idolized him when we were growing up.I would follow him and his friends to the golf-course ; only to be sent "packing" because what 14 year old wanted their baby sister tagging along?! Time moved on and children came along. Tim was the best dad I have ever met and uncle too.Nothing was too much trouble for his children, and when he took them anywhere, my boys were always invited along as well. The cousins had a blast together! Tim was also an amazing son. He took such good care of mum after dad died. Although life was not always fair to Tim, he kept his feelings to himself; never wanting to be a burden to his family. Yes my big brother was wonderful, and he touched the lives of many all of whom will mourn his loss for a very long time. I wish I could turn back the clock, but as my mum would often say "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride" Finally you can rest in peace Tim, free from anguish and safe in the arms of Rosie. Hugs and kisses to you both.

We met Tim just once at a BBQ. We enjoyed his company, sensed his gentleness and appreciated his searching and open mind. A great loss. Nigel and Isabel

Such sad news - I worked with Tim at Montfort Telephone Exchange in Leicester for several years and as a friend outside of work for many more. I always liked Tim's sense of humour and his observations on life which struck a chord with me. This is a hard one to write. Love to all the family.

I was so very sorry to hear about Tim. He was just such a great person. He was unfailingly kind and caring and always provided a listening ear. He talked a lot about his sons and Rosie and spoke about how proud he was , always excited at seeing them. A great loss.
