My mum Edna (Pat) Cruxon and Louise moved into Cockington Rd in 1949 and were friends and close neighbours for 70 (yes, 70!) years. Louise and mum have been fixtures in the neighbourhood for as long as I've been on this earth and well beyond. My brothers and I grew up around Patrick and Tim, and my mum and dad often went out socially with Louise and Paddy. I'd see Louise regularly until a few months back, when she and mum would both be at Tracy's hair salon (Park Salon).
Louise was a very "switched on" lady, very bright-minded, sensible, capable, organised...a very solid and lovely person to know. It has been a great comfort to mum and me to know that her good friend Louise was there, just around the corner on Cockington Rd. We miss her presence very much, my mum especially.

Veronica Cooksey donated £20 in memory of Louise

What a lovely lady with such a beautiful young mind. My only downfall, is that I wish I had the opportunity to know her a lot longer. Thank you Louise for being such a warm and friendly soul. Rest in Peace. Veronica
