In loving memory of Julian Charles Piper, who unexpectedly passed away (aged 72) on Saturday 14th September 2019, following an accident.

Julian was an acclaimed musician & journalist, who was one of the UK's foremost champions of African-American Blues. He not only played alongside leading US musicians but produced, toured with and promoted their concerts in Britain. He released 11 albums, had a BBC 3 radio show, and recently had his first book published: 'Blues from the Bayou'.

He leaves behind his wife Cathy, and two children, Sam & Lucy, as well as a wide network of friends and the greater music community. He will be greatly missed; an unforgettable character to all that knew him.

Please feel free to wear what you feel comfortable in at the funeral. Colour is welcomed. A celebration for a man who lived life to its fullest.
